The "Forte dei Marmi" Sailing Trophy

The "Forte dei Marmi" Sailing Trophy was born: Compagnia della Vela and Yachting Club, together with the Municipal Administration to relaunch the great sailing in Forte dei Marmi

The new Forte dei Marmi Trophy that involves the two sailing realities of the country, the Compagnia della Vela and the Yachting Club, was born from the hope of the Mayor Bruno Murzi together with the managing director for Sport, Alberto Mattugini to see the two clubs collaborate more and more to reaffirm Forte dei Marmi as a reference point for great sailing challenges.

In 2020, on Sunday 1st July, after the last round of the Pasquini Trophy regatta, won by the ITA 46 Sodo - Ciardi crew, the first FD Forte dei Marmi single Trophy was awarded. The award ceremony was held at the Compagnia della Vela, in the presence of the competitors, the Members who collaborated in the realization of the event, and some representatives of the Municipal Administration.

This award is the result of the "combination" between the Pasquini trophy, the historic regatta of the Compagnia della Vela for the Flying Dutchman class, now in its 52nd edition, and the Pardini Trophy organized by the Yachting Club Versilia, included this year in the calendar of regattas National of the class.

The intent is to reward the crews that take part in both events and that are therefore staying in our country for two weekends.

The crews, which have won two new spinnakers from the Be1Sails sail loft, are ITA 46, which in addition to the Pasquini trophy also won the overall ranking and ITA 13 (De Luca - Fraschetti), winners of the prize draw.

In the same way, namely the offering of two important prizes to be allocated to those who participate in both competitions, the competition for the Finn class will be re-proposed, which will meet in Forte dei Marmi on 14-15 July, hosted by the Compagnia della Sailing with the Fratelli Meccheri Trophy, and on 22-23 July for the Aldo Ferrari Trophy of the Versilia Yachting Club.
